For this project, Contractor shall furnish all material, labor and supervision for the repairs and jetting of sewer drain main for the Navy Gateway Inn & Suites (NGIS), to clear blockages and allow drainage of sewer/sanitary lines. This includes time to get base clearance, mobilize, order & receive material, permits and completeproject, including cleanup & inspection. Project Location: Navy Gateway Inn & Suites, 2450 McHugh Street, Building 3362, Navy Base San Diego, CA 92136. The Magnitude ofthis project is $18,000 - $20,000. 1. Demo/Removal: a. Contractor shall secure the area and install dust barrier protection in work area, to keep demolition debris and dust within the working area during demolition prior to starting any demo work. Contractor shall make all efforts to keep dust/debris from spreading beyond extents of work area. b. Contractor shall remove carpet and saw cut and remove/dispose of select area of concrete in first floor hallway, approximately 3FT X 4FT X (thickness ofslab) for the purpose of accessing the sewer main line running below grade. This select area is identified as being between Room 101 and Laundry Room. See attached floorplan identifying room numbers and laundry facility. c. Contractor shall remove compacted fill to uncover sewer main. During the process of removal and excavation, work site is to be secured against unauthorized personnel, to restrict access to hazards created from hole/opening. Outside of contractor's working hours, the excavation hole shall be covered per EM385-1-1, until backfilled. d. Contractor shall remove the required amount of 6" sewer main to enable installation of the double sweep cleanout. e. Contractor to coordinate work hours and any required outages with NGIS GM. 2. New work/Installation: a. Contractor shall install new double sweep cleanout, including all related components, and brass cleanout plugs. b. Contractor shall backfill and compact around and above sewer main to completely fil excavation to original condition to support new concrete backfill. Contractor shall backfill concrete to same thickness and condition of concrete removed, ensuring finished surface is level and even with adjacent concrete slab. (Replacement installation of carpet to be performed by others.) -Upon completion of this project, it is the responsibility of the contractor to return the area ofwork to its original condition, to include any ofthe surrounding areas disturbed by this work, exterior ground surface material, and fixtures and equipment that are disturbed by but not included in this install.
