A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Project includes the following Work: Construction of approximately 100 LF of 6" PVC water main; 2,200 LF of 8" PVC/FPVC water main; fire hydrants; connection to existing mains; and abandonment of existing water main in project area. Project information was provided to us in recent correspondence with you. We were provided with a copy of a Plan Set for the project prepared by Mittauer & Associates, Inc., dated April 19,2023. These plans show the boundary limits for the property, the roadways located adjacent to the site, the requested boring locations and the location of the existing and proposed construction. We understand that the proposed construction consists of a watermain replacement in Crescent City, Florida. We anticipate the watermain replacement may include a combination on open cut construction and directional drilling procedures across existing roadways. We note that since the applicability of geotechnical recommendations is very dependent upon project characteristics, most specifically: improvement locations, grade alterations, and actual structural loads applied, UES must review the preliminary and final site and grading plans, and structural design loads to validate all recommendations rendered herein. Without such review our recommendations should not be relied upon for final design or construction of any site improvements. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Main Street Water Main Replacement, Ph. 2. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. To be considered qualified, Bidder must be licensed to engage in the business of contracting in the State of Florida by the Construction Industry Licensing Board and must have successfully completed, as prime contractor, a minimum of 3 projects of a similar nature within the past 5 years, each having a minimum contract value of $450,000, with at least one project having a contract value in excess of $750,000.
