Purpose of Procurement: Campus Services (CSD), a division of Kennesaw State University (hereafter "KSU"), A Unit of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (Owner), is seeking Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing Task Order Contractor services (via the CM at-Risk with a GMP project delivery method) for certain small mechanical and/or electrical construction projects at KSU. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to identify qualified potential providers of the above-mentioned services. The intent is to issue a minimum of four to eight separate contracts for mechanical and or/electrical contractors for Task Order Contracting. However, KSU reserves the right to award less or more contracts upon their sole discretion. Questions and clarifications relating to the RFQ must be submitted in writing to the following email address: gpaolett@kennesaw.edu, attention Gary Paoletta, Director, Plant Operations by 2/02/2024, 5:00 PM. A contract will be issued under the administration of POD for an indefinite amount of "as needed" construction orders named "Task Orders." Each Task Order consists of a Task Order Agreement, with attachments, together with the master Task Order Contract. The maximum of all Task Order Agreements issued, including all relevant Change Orders, shall not exceed $2,500,000.00 for this contract. The intent is to issue a minimum of four to eight separate contracts for mechanical and or/electrical contractors for Task Order Contracting. However, KSU reserves the right to award less or more contracts upon their sole discretion. Contract, if awarded, will be on a blanket order basis. Both performance and payment bonds will be required in an amount equal to 100% for any Task Order Agreement over $2,500,000.00 but may be required on a Task Order Agreement at the sole discretion of KSU regardless of the dollar amount. The scopes of services may vary from project to project. Projects may consist of, but may not be limited to, certain renovations and related building systems repair (HVAC system replacements and/or modifications, electrical service replacements and/or modifications), for the various facilities at KSU. The anticipated emphasis will be on projects with a substantial mechanical and/or electrical component. The Task Order Contractor will provide cost estimates and cost evaluation, design, construction management, value engineering recommendations, design analysis, constructability reviews, and technical input on methods of construction, materials, details, and subcontractor bidding packages. The Task Order Contractor shall also develop and maintain a master project schedule. During the execution of a Task Order Agreement, Task Order Contractor will be responsible for the following things, without limitation: Pre-construction services methods of construction safety programs general conditions prequalification of potential subcontractors performance of all work certification of work-in-place pricing procurement and creation of a GMP for each project payment requests coordination and scheduling of all work of all construction contracts and miscellaneous contracts required for the completion of the project within the predetermined budget and schedule. In the event of the implementation of a Design-Build Task Order Agreement, Task Order Contractor will be responsible for design services.
