Renovation of a parking garage in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

The project will be constructed using a single prime contract format. The objective of this project is to remove and replace the expansion joint on the Southeast middle level of the Roswell Park parking garage. The scope includes concrete repairs, post tension tendon repairs and replacements, post tensioning, and replacement of the expansion joint. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon the form provided. The project number and title must be written on the front of the sealed envelope. The blank spaces in the bid form must be filled in, and no changes shall be made in the phraseology of the bid form. Bids containing omissions, erasures, alterations, or additions may be rejected as non-responsive. Roswell Park Cancer Institute recognizes the need to take affirmative actions to ensure that Minority and Women business enterprises and minority and women employees are given the opportunity to participate in the performance of construction programs. This opportunity for full participation in our free enterprise system by traditionally, socially, and economically disadvantaged persons is essential to obtain social and economic equality and improve the functioning of the State economy. Accordingly, it is the policy of Roswell Park Cancer Institute to foster and promote the full participation of such individuals and business firms in the Corporation's building construction program. By bidding on this Contract, the Contractor acknowledges his understanding and support for the social policy herein stated and pledges to fully cooperate in the implementation of this policy. Further, the Contractor agrees to exert a good faith effort to solicit and obtain the participation of such individuals and firms as subcontractors, suppliers, and employees on this Contract in accordance with General Conditions Articles 15, 16, and 17. Information concerning the availability of New York State subcontractors and suppliers is available from the New York State Department of Economic Development, and it is the policy of New York State to encourage the use of New York State subcontractors and suppliers, and to promote the participation of Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises where possible, in the procurement of goods and services. Any questions concerning the Request for Bid should be directed to Robert Henschel via e-mail at Robert.Henschel@RoswellPark.org. Questions will be accepted through 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024. Responses, when deemed necessary, will be communicated by Addendum to registered plan holders who have obtained drawings and specifications from RPCI. Sets of the documents may be examined in person free of charge at the office of Facilities Planning on the 2nd floor of Basic Science Building, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, 99 High Street, Buffalo, NY, 14203.
