Geotechnical Investigations Grossmont Union High School District (hereinafter District) is requesting proposals for Geotechnical Investigations Services from interested firms related to Proposition U Bond Measure, Measure BB and other school construction projects as needed. Question Deadline; 01/26/2024 at 12:00 PM PT, Questions or clarifications for the Request for Proposal documents can be directed in writing to: Rian Pinson, Director of Purchasing rpinson@guhsd.net. All firms will be required to comply with all applicable codes. The scope of work may include the
following: a. Perform site soils investigations and create an initial and final project
Geotechnical Report including all DSA forms as needed for submission to the State
reviewing agency (Division of the State Architect) and adequate to fulfill the
technical data needs of the Architectural/Structural design team and development
of Construction Drawings and Specifications. Inspection activities shall be directed
by the DSA Project Inspector. The District will include the report as a construction
bid package exhibit as well.
The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Contract Start Date July 1, 2024
The evaluation criteria specified herein will be used to determine which of the proposals provide the best quality for Grossmont Union High School District. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive all technicalities, and to accept the proposal(s) that is determined to be the most favorable to the District. Recognizing that there are important considerations other than price, the District may not necessarily award to the lowest proposer. District has the right to ask for any clarifications on any or all proposals. Proposals must be effective for sixty (60) days following the deadline for the receipt of proposals. The District shall hold the successful Proposer liable and responsible for all damages which may be sustained because of his failure to comply with any conditions herein. If the successful Proposer fails to furnish or deliver any material, supplies, equipment, or services at the prices quoted, or at the times and places stated, or otherwise fails to comply with the terms of the documents in their entirety, the District may purchase the items herein specified elsewhere, without notice to the successful Proposer. Additional costs accrued by the District through this purchase may be deducted from unpaid invoices or must be paid to District by the successful Proposer. Prices paid by the District shall be considered the prevailing market prices at the time such purchase is made.
