Description Project involves continuous curb installation, new sidewalk installation, catch basins, asphalt and concrete drive approaches, and milling and paving. Completion Dates November 8, 2024 Engineer's Estimate $900,000.00 Question Deadline 01/23/2024 at 11:00 AM ET The Owner reserves the right to reject any, part of any, or all bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities. It is hereby agreed that the City of Centerville has the right to reject this proposal, or to award the above described work to the undersigned at the prices stipulated. If the proposal is rejected then the enclosed check for 10% of the amount of the bid, (if a bid bond is not included), which is made payable to the City of Centerville shall be returned to the undersigned as provided in Instruction to Bidders. Paper Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Contract Bond. This project has the following primary components: o Pavement planing and resurfacing o Pavement repairs o Curb replacement o Sidewalk and curb ramp replacement Work hours are 7am-7pm in both locations. Completion Date: November 8, 2024 Compark Road: o Mill 1.75", pave 2" o New 5' sidewalk to be installed at back of curb on the east side of the roadway o Curb to be replaced is continuous chairback curb o Curb replacement is to be chairback curb o See the attached Exhibit A for work limits. o 6 Total Catch basin replacements: o (3) ODOT 3a standard top o (3) ODOT type 3 frame and grate only (no hood) South Suburban Road: o Mill up to 1", pave 3" o Curb replacement is to be rolled curb o See the attached Exhibit B for work limits. o About 610 ft of continuous curb to be installed on the east side o 1900 SF of new sidewalk to be installed on the east side of the roadway o 4 total Catch Basin replacements: o (3) ODOT 3A Combo (with manhole) o (1) ODOT Type 3 frame and grate only (no hood) Additional Notes 1. Saw cutting shall be full depth. 2. Excavated material may not be stored on the street during rain events unless adequate measures have been taken to prevent runoff of sediment. The contractor is to use BestManagement Practices to prevent sediment from entering the storm sewer system. 3. Work items and quantities are projected and expected to change to fit needs of actual field conditions, budget, and other potential issues. Prices will not change due to change in quantities or cost escalation. Payment for work items not included as a specific pay item shall be considered incidental to other work items. This includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, re/mobilization, grading around curb ramps, removal of raised pavement markers, as well as removal and replacement of mailboxes, signs and supports. 4. Curb to be removed and replaced in sections with the minimum section being 5 feet. 5. Curb removal shall be 3"-12" in front of the curb to allow for the use of a full depth form board. Restoration will be completed using LSM 100 to 2" below the surface and 2" of Item 441 to the surface. All flowable fill and asphalt shall be included in the unit pricing for Item 609. 6. Work shall not be permitted July 3rd and 4th.
