The R.M. of Reciprocity No. 32 requires the loading, hauling, and spreading of 7/8" and 1 1/2" gravel onto our municipal roads for the 2024 season. The municipality maintains stockpiles of gravel throughout the R.M. The successful bidder will be provided with maps from each division awarded that detail how much gravel is to be placed upon each road within that division, what size of gravel is to be used, and which pit the gravel is to be hauled from. There will be occasions where spot graveling may be required later on throughout the year and it is expected that the successful proponent will be available in a timely manner to complete this. The successful proponent will invoice the R.M. including the land location nearest which the gravel was spread using west of and south of section notation, the yards of gravel hauled to each location, and the pit & stockpile from which the gravel to that location was hauled from. It is expected gravelling will commence as soon as possible in the spring after the shoulders have been pulled and be completed by Thursday, August 8 th, 2024 unless extenuating circumstances occur. The municipality has in previous years split the gravelling between two contractors and may pursue this route again should Council deem it the most favourable option.
