Reference Number 0000262500 Question Acceptance Deadline 31-Jan-2024 01:30:00 PM EST Bid Intent Deadline 09-Feb-2024 12:00:00 PM EST This assignment is for two (2) studies to undertake the preliminary design and environmental assessment for the replacement/rehabilitation of various structures, determining the long-term interchange configurations at seven (7) locations and establishing the footprint for the interim six (6) and ultimate eight (8) lanes of Highway 401. (GWP 4022-21-00; 4016-21-00) Study 1 – GWP 4022-21-00: The study limits are from 4.3 km east of Highway 37 (IC # 544) to 5 km west of County Road 41/Centre St (IC 579) for a total length of approximately 26.9 km. Study 2 – GWP 4016-21-00: The study limits are from 5 km west of County Road 41/Centre Street (IC 579) to 5 km west of County Road 38 (IC 611) for a total length of approximately 37.5 km. Under the MTO Class EA, both studies have been classified as Group B projects. The delivery schedules for the studies may be bundled for as long as reasonable to maximize efficiencies and consolidate consultation efforts. In the event the ministry and the Service Provider agree that the bundling of the projects is no longer practical, the delivery schedules of the projects will be separated and a change order will be issued to address additional overhead and project management costs. At the conclusion of the studies, the ministry should be in a position to update the highway designation plan to reflect the preferred plan.
