Lump Sum The City of Fort Myers is proposing to design and permit a new boat ramp on City owned property located at 3105
E. Riverside Drive. This is a recently acquired property adjacent to the existing Riverside Community Center.
The proposed boat ramp location will include a boat ramp (number of lanes to be determined), parking for vehicles
with and without trailers, and a footprint for a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission building. The site
shall also include appropriate landscaping, stormwater management and buffering.
The City invites licensed and qualified engineering design firms to submit a statement of qualifications to perform
complete planning, programming, engineering design services, bid evaluation, construction administration,
permitting, and other necessary work required to construct the new boat ramp.
The selected firm will demonstrate experience and knowledge in developing and permitting a design based on the
City's needs and budget constraints; technical expertise to complete project design and specifications in a timely
manner; and excellent attention to detail in maintaining quality control standards.
As all improvements are considered critical, the selected firm will demonstrate a full understanding of the project,
and the ability and commitment to complete this design completely and speedily.
The firm shall provide and perform the following professional services, which shall constitute the General Scope of
Services under the covenants, terms and provisions here specified.
Engineering planning, design, permitting, bidding and construction phase services for the construction of a new
boat ramp and associated facilities. Scope of Services will include but is not limited to all tasks necessary to complete
the following items:
o Master Planning
o Schematic Design
o Surveying
o Design Development
o Permitting (Site and Waterside)
o Bidding and Negotiation Assistance
o Contract Administration
o Construction Oversight
