Construction of New Maintenance and Operations Facilities, Storage Shed, and Equipment Shed at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park, 1395 Planting Fields Road, Nassau County, New York. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a scanned Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of: Plumbing Contract: $11,744.96 (Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Four Dollars and Ninety-Six Cents) Location: Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park Provide and install all specified building and site plumbing and drainage systems for a "Maintenance and Operations" 8104sf building and a 2916sf "Equipment Shed". The scope of work consists of, but not limited to the following: 1. Provide variable refrigerant volume heart pump AC unit, fans, unit heaters, wall mount electric heaters, etc. as shown on the drawings and as specified hereinafter. 2. Provide diffusers, grilles and registers, louvers as shown on drawings and as specified hereinafter. 3. Provide all low leakage control dampers as noted on plans and as specified hereinafter. 4. Provide all new ducting and duct accessories, all new access doors, all new control wiring and conduits, all insulation, all new hangers and supports and all other accessories required for the proper installation and performance of the new equipment. 5. Provide controls for AC units, fans, unit heaters, electric duct heaters and all related equipment as shown on drawings and hereinafter. Provide all required sensors and controllers as shown on drawings as specified and required for a fully functional system. 6. In addition to labor and material guarantee specified herein, the contractor shall provide one-year of service & maintenance starting from the date of completion and testing of the new air conditioning system, heating system units and fans. The schedule of service and maintenance shall be as per unit of manufacturers recommendations. 7. Testing, balancing, and adjusting of the new heating & cooling system and air balancing as specified hereinafter. 8. The general contractor (GC) is responsible for all cores and other openings in exterior walls, interior partitions, slabs, roofing, etc., for ducts, piping, sleeves, conduits, and other penetrations. The Mechanical contractor shall coordinate the locations of all openings with general contractor. 9. The Mechanical contractors shall provide all sleeves, conduit, escutcheons, etc. in the wall/floor/roof penetrations. The general contractor shall provide the fire stopping and/or insulation at all penetrations around the ducts, and conduit, etc. 10. Provide all hoisting and rigging of equipment and material required to complete work of this section. 11. Provide all vibration isolation. 12. Provide all finish work at all penetrations and equipment to include penetrations, penetration sleeves, firestopping, escutcheons, etc. The contractor is responsible for all caulking, sealants, gaskets, etc. related to their work. 13. The contractor is responsible to coordinate work to include equipment pads, louvers, finish patching and painting to be provided under general construction. 14. The contractor is responsible to coordinate work to include equipment raceways and backboxes for automatic temperature control, all starter and disconnects size and locations for equipment provided under this contract. 15. The mechanical contractor is responsible for protecting all construction adjacent to their work. Any damage must be repaired with no additional cost to Owner. SCOPE OF WORK A. General: 1. Testing, adjust and confirm design airflows rates, pressure drops, operating pressures, temperatures and heat transfer performance for HVAC systems, to include air systems, associated fans, diffusers, and accessories, etc. 2. Provide all necessary labor, materials, products, equipment and services to balance and test all HVAC systems, to verify conformance to specified quantities, and to the design of the mechanical system and for the testing of all the fire safety ventilations systems. 3. Cooperate with all other trades, including, but not limited to, (BMS) building controls, fire alarm, sheet metal and piping sub-Contractors to ensure the Work is carried out without interference to other Work. 4. Provide openings required for pitot tube traverses. After balancing, close sheet metal openings with removable gasketed plugs. Submit samples of proposed plugs to the Engineer for approval. 5. Conduct regular inspections during the mechanical systems installation and report on ductwork installation (likely to produce abnormal leakage or restrictions to airflow), piping installation, proper placement of dampers or valves, and any circumstance which will encumber the testing and balancing of the mechanical systems. 6. Include all items of labor, materials, products, equipment and devices required to comply with standards and codes of the Authorities having Jurisdiction in accordance with the contract documents to balance all air and hydronic systems, to verify conformance to specified quantities and to the design of the mechanical system. Where quantities, sizes or other requirements indicated on the drawings or herein specified are in excess of the standard or local code requirements, the specifications and drawings shall govern. B. All work related to the preparation of the systems shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. No work shall proceed on the Testing, Balancing and Adjusting until all items required to be completed prior to the start of TAB work outlined in this section are complete.
