Project consists of: Project consists of the following scope of work: Demolition of paving/plaza (concrete & brick pavers), partial retaining wall removal, concrete removal within raised planter, tree removal, clearing & grubbing for the installation of a playground within an existing park (Pine Hill Park) that includes: tree removal, pedestrian light standards, and miscellaneous items. Project will require the contractor to remove/salvage and reinstall the Ida B. Wells Statue, Lynching Tree Artwork & Plaque. There will be new construction which includes: site grading, installation of a new segment of brick retaining/raised planter wall, raised planter subsurface drainage, concrete & color concrete paving, installation of brick pavers, pedestrian concrete seating, wayside exhibit bases and owner furnished signage, statue base & foundations and reinstallation of the bronze Ida B. Wells Statue. The project will also include landscaping, irrigation system, speciality site lighting, new signage, erosion control measures, tree protection fencing, construction and subsurface piping and sleeving. All demolition debris will be removed from the site and disposed of in a legal manner. A 100% stand of grass will be required prior to project completion being obtained. There are two bid alternates for this project. Requests for interpretation should solely be addressed to the Consultant either in writing or via telephone. No oral interpretation will be made to any bidder as to meaning of drawings and specifications.
