Demolition for a playground / park / athletic field in Farmington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field.
The Town of Farmington is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design, supply, and construct a Splash Pad & Pickleball Courts with sidewalks at the Westwoods Recreation Complex. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all design, materials, and construction services to complete the work as specified in the bid documents. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items or the total bid, and to waive any or all informalities or technical defects, if it is deemed by the Town to be in its best interest to do so. This contract is subject to State of Connecticut set-aside and contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. The contractor must demonstrate a good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Minority/Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. Question Deadline 02/06/2024 Any request from prospective bidders for interpretation of meaning of bid specifications or other contract documentsshall be made in writing to Dylan Reilly (ReillyD@farmington-ct.org), Civil Engineer, Town of Farmington, Town Hall, One Monteith Drive, Farmington Connecticut. Requests must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids to be given consideration. The Town of Farmington recently received a STEAP Grant to install a splash pad, four pickleball courts and a structure at the newly established Westwoods Recreation Complex, located on the Westwoods Golf Course property at 14 Westwoods Drive. The intent of these specifications is to contract with a qualified Firm to design and to construct a splash pad and four pickleball courts with sidewalks at the Westwoods Recreation Complex in front of the Westwoods Golf Course, 14 Westwoods Drive, Farmington. The contract is only for the splash pad, pickleball courts, and sidewalks. It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to supply all necessary labor, equipment, and materials in order to complete the work.
