Site work for a civil project in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The scope of work consists of upgrade / replacement of deteriorated structural steel support structures and reinforced concrete foundations at six discrete locations along Interstate Route H-1 and H-201(Moanalua Freeway) between Kunia and Kalihi on the Island of Oahu. The scope of work consists of construction of overhead sign structures, sign frames, and drilled shafts; reconstruction of concrete barriers, glare screens; grading; installation of destination sign panels, pavement markings; modifications to the electrical conduits and pullboxes; maintenance and removal of temporary erosion control measures; and traffic control. The six overhead sign structures to be replaced are located on various highway routes on Oahu. These are shown on the Title Sheet of the plans. To be eligible for award, bidders shall possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license, prior to the award of contract. All information presented at the pre-bid conference is provided for clarification and information only. Any amendments to the bid documents shall be made by formal addendum and posted in HIePRO. All Request for Information (RFI) questions and substitution requests shall be submitted via HIePRO no later than January 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., HST. RFI questions received after the stated deadline will not be addressed. Verbal RFIs will not receive a response. All responses to RFI questions shall be issued by formal addendum and posted in HIePRO. The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects in said proposals in the best interest of the public. Bidders are directed to read and be familiar with the DBE Requirements, which establishes the program requirements pursuant to Title 49, CFR, Part 26 and, particularly, the requirements of certification, method of award, and evidence of good faith. All Bidders may email the Engineer at james.fu@hawaii.gov, the DBE Contract Goal Verification and Good Faith Efforts (GFE) Documentation for Construction , DBE Confirmation and Commitment Agreement Trucking Company and DBE Confirmation and Commitment Agreement Subcontractor, Manufacturer, or Supplier by February 22, 2024 at 4:00 p.m., HST. Failure to provide these documents shall be cause for rejection of bid The estimated cost of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $12,000,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
