The Work includes installation of one (1) 5,000-gallon steel ASME hydropneumatic tank; providing and installing HPT accessories; associated electrical and control work, protective coatings, piping, valves, and fittings; site work; seeding, pressure testing; bacteriological testing; demolition and removal of one (1) existing 5,000-gallon steel hydropneumatic tank including accessories; and all else specified in the construction drawings and contract documents necessary to construct, tie-in, and make for a complete and operable system. The project is located at 7214 Zieglers Grove, Richmond, Texas 77469. (Fort Bend County Key Map 607-S) The Work. Bids are invited on a general contract for construction of Water Plant No. 2 - Hydropneumatic Tank No. 1 Replacement for Plantation Municipal Utility District. For construction contracts $50,000 and over but less than $250,000, the bidder shall submit a certified or cashier's check on a responsible bank in the State equal to two percent (2%) or a bid bond of at least two percent (2%) of the maximum total bid amount. For construction over $250,000, the bidder shall submit either a two percent (2%) certified or cashier's check or a five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Make the cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 calendar days from the date bids are open. Bidder shall fill in the blank on the bid form for the number of calendar days for the substantial completion period of performance from date of Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be achieved within 30 calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion. Bidder must be capable of executing a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond for 100 percent (100%) of the contract sum in accord with the conditions of the contract.
