Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Republic, Missouri. Completed plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The unified bids shall include all work included in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to the Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and General Scope of work for the project. The overall project will consist of 3 projects, at 3 separate buildings combined into one project under one contract. The 3 projects are as follows and defined in the Summary of Work: #1: An office addition in the Republic Community Center. (Project #1 will be priced as ADD ALTERNATE NO.1) #2: A renovation of an existing storage building into new park restrooms. #3: A renovation of the entry at the Republic Aquatic Center. ADDITIONS AND MODIFICATIONS FOR 3 PROJECTS COMBINED INTO ONE PROJECT FOR: CITY OF REPUBLIC, MISSOURI 711 W. National Ave. Suite 300 Springfield, MO 65807 Ph: 417.890.5543, ext. 115 Email questions are acceptable; send to: bragsdale@bk-dc.com It is the intent of the Owner to begin work on/around February 07, 2024, (or on a date determined convenient by the Owner), and Final Completion for Projects 1 and 2 as defined in the contractors bid, no later than May 20, 2024. Final Completion for Project 3 Aquatic Center as defined in the contractors bid, no later than April 24, 2024. Right to Reject Proposals: The Owner reserves the right to waive minor technicalities; to reject any or all bids and award to the remaining lowest, responsive and responsible Bidder; or to resubmit Invitation for Bids to the same or other persons; whichever may be in the Owner's best interest. Conditions of Award: Award of Contract will be based on the following factors in combination: 1. PROPOSED CONTRACT AMOUNT: Award will be based upon any combination of the best value of sum of base bid and any or all bid alternates, in conjunction with the Proposed Substantial Completion Date, the Owner may wish to accept. 2. BIDDERS QUALIFICATIONS: Award of Contract will be made to a bidder who is experienced and qualified in similar size and types of projects, with a history of successful projects completed on time and with supportive references. A history of poor performance, poor quality workmanship, legal claims, dissatisfied referrals, and other anomalies may constitute grounds for disqualification and rejection of bid. A bidder who is unable to demonstrate ability, and/or history to manage and complete the project, according to the Contract, may be disqualified and have their bid rejected. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Time of completion of the Project by the Successful Bidder is of the essence. Should the Successful Bidder fail to complete the Project within the time specified in the governing contract/schedule, without express authorization by the City allowing for an extension of time to completion, the Successful Bidder shall be liable to the City in the amount of $500 per day for each and every calendar day the Project remains uncompleted, as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, it being stipulated and agreed that the actual damages to the City arising from the Successful Bidder's failure to timely complete the Project would be difficult, if not impossible, to reasonably ascertain. Assessment of liquidated damages will not relieve the Successful Bidder, or its surety/ies, of any responsibility or obligation under the Contract. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, executed by the Bidder and a duly authorized surety company, certified check, or cashier's check made unconditionally payable to the City of Republic, MO / Republic BUILDS for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum bid or bids submitted. The bid security pledges that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in the Bid and will, if required, furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Bid Bond shall be written by a surety firm acceptable to the Owner, and shall guarantee that: if the Bidder is awarded Contract with Owner within thirty (30) days from the date bids were received, he will enter into a contract with the Owner within five (5) days after receipt of notice of award, and that a Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the amount of the Contract will be provided as required by Article 7.
