The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to inspect, rebuild, and install as required per specification one (1) Alternator for a 500KW Cummins Generator located near 72 Kent Road, Georgetown, SC 29440. GCWSD will provide crane and rigging for removal and installation of alternator. Alternator shall be picked up, inspected, repaired, and reinstalled at the generator location. The District is requesting services of a qualified and experienced contractor to:
Disassemble and provide detailed inspection report of Alternator.
Complete rehabilitation of Alternator.
Reinstallation of alternator and test.
Provide 1-year warranty on all parts and service.
Pricing shall include all Applicable Tax and Freight All bids must be in sealed envelopes and shall be in the hands of Michael Fu Man Yip,
Operations Director, no later than date and time of opening, as specified in the invitation for
bids. The bid opening will be held at date and time of opening in the Administration Building
of the Pawleys Island location of the Georgetown County Water and Sewer District located
at 456 Clearwater Drive, Pawleys Island, SC The rebuilt alternator shall be placed back on the engine by way of a crane supplied and assisted by the District. Contractor shall make all connections and test the generator for proper operation. The enclosure shall be placed back over the generator and secured. The exhaust shall be reconnected, and the unit shall be put back in its normal operating condition. Contractor will leave the generator in auto before leaving the site. Contractor shall provide all necessary services, labor, tools, materials, equipment, vehicles, and instrumentation for the scope of services under this RFB. These items of equipment are considered necessary items for a qualified bidder, and separate charges for use of these items in the course of the work, will not be paid by the District. Fees will be paid on a lump sum price basis for services rendered under this scope of work in accordance with submitted price quotes. No additional compensation for travel and mileage to or from the pump station shall be billed. Work performed by the Contractor under this scope of service could be subject to inspection and testing by the District. Any work found to be defective or unsatisfactory shall be repaired or replaced by the Contractor at the Contractor's expense.
