This facility is for residency use as a group home. The parking area of this facility and concrete sidewalks need to be replaced. Scope of work and specifications are indicated below 1. The contractor will obtain the proper permits from the city and will ensure that all work passes all inspections required by the Building Department. 2. The driveway will be completely replaced. 3. The existing drive will be removed to the dirt. 4. New driveway: the contractor will provide a compacted base of gravel at least 4" thick; a #301 binder course of compacted asphalt at least 2" thick; and a #404 surface course of compacted asphalt at least 2" thick, all throughout the entire drive. 5. The contractor will ensure that the drive has positive drainage away from the facility and garage, but not in a manner that will affect any surrounding homes. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring all drains are at the proper height and will be corrected if not. Contractor will raise or lower any other covers, structures, and curbing to correct height. 6. The contractor will ensure that the height of the drive does not exceed city requirements. where the driveway meets the house (i.e., basement windows, doorway thresholds, etc.) 7. The contractor will ensure that the driveway surface will be free of craters or other. depressions that will retain water to a depth of 1/4" 8. The contractor will ensure that all edges and other hand-tamped areas have a neat, straight, and uniform appearance. (The use of rough-in forms is recommended.) 9. The contractor will be responsible for properly maintaining the work site, for storing materials in a safe and secure manner, for removal and disposal of all debris generated by the work. performed within 24 hours, and, upon completion, for cleaning the site to a pre-work condition. 10. The contractor warrants that all work will be done in a workmanlike manner, to conform to current standard building practices and to meet or exceed any city code requirements. Work will be guaranteed against defects of materials for 5 years and against defects in workmanship from 5 years after date of completion. 11. Removing and replacing concrete walkway to house. Must be ADA compliant. 12. The contractor will be responsible for restriping all parking spaces, handicap parking, No parking aeras, arrows, etc. New striping will be in the same areas.
