Renovation of a municipal facility in Elora, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is seeking a general contractor to perform repairs on a 1950/1960's single storey, light frame post and beam workshop. The building consists of office/lunch room (44 ft. x 22 ft.) and a garage area (52 ft. x 22 ft.). The office area was struck by a GRCA vehicle at speed during a medical emergency and received extensive damage as a result. Work to include framing, sheathing, trimming, HVAC replacement, and minor electrical & mechanical works. The GRCA owns the Elora Gorge Conservation Area (CA) which is located at 7400 Wellington County Road 21, Elora, ON. The Elora Gorge CA opened in 1954 and the workshop was built shortly thereafter and consists of post and beam construction with wood trusses. The shop area's interior is finished with a plywood sheathing, concrete slab on grade, a man door and a garage door along with a few vinyl windows. The repair work is to commence upon award (early February) and be substantially complete by April 26, 2024. Documents can be obtained at: https://www.biddingo.com
