Lump-sum proposal pricing. Wastewater Tank Replacement - Milford Garage located at 4353 Duck Lake Road, Milford, Michigan 48381. General Requirements - FOB Destination Award Requirements - All or None Award * RCOC reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof. Any incomplete proposal and any proposal in which prices are obvious errors may be rejected. A non-conforming response to the specifications or terms and conditions will be considered non-responsive and may be rejected. Scope of work for Wastewater Tank Replacement - Milford Garage: A) EXCAVATION: Remove tank from pavement and soil covered area. Topsoil can be reused after installation and dressed and seeded. Reinstall tank in area off driveway with accessible risers and ports. Excavate inside of building to replace damaged piping to tank. Shoring should be supplied due to the depth of the excavation. Fencing around excavation should be supplied. RCOC will need to be present for all line and tank disconnections. All dirt and pea stone shall be removed offsite and will be the responsibility of the contractor. Cement tank pads are not known to exist, but if found, they must be removed before installation of the new tank. B) TANKS: Furnish and install one 20,000 gallon double walled, fiberglass USTs, 10 foot in height. Tank will be backfilled with pea gravel. The primary material being used for backfilling must not be frozen or contain any frozen particles. It must not contain any sort of rubbish, sand, rocks, organic substances, roots, dirt, ice, or snow. The substance being used must be washed naturally and rounded 1/8" to 3/4" with no more than 3% passing a 3/8" sieve, and in a state to flow free. The installer or designer must install geotextile filter fabric on the bottom and sides of the tank hole. Filter fabric must be positioned before the pea stone bedding is in place. A 12 to 18 inch base of pea gravel must be set under each tank. Proper backfilling will require multiple lifts of 12 inches each. Pea gravel will be installed to cover tank and up to the 36" subgrade. Filter fabric will be placed on top of the stone before any soil backfill. Furnish and install anchoring system including pre-cast concrete deadman anchors and fiberglass straps. C) MANHOLES/SPILL CONTAINERS/OVERFILL: Provide clock gauge and hardware installed in an access port. Provide risers and manway access to tank. Provide pump out access and tubing for vacuum truck through an access port. Provide a battery-operated high-water alarm to operate at 80% capacity. D) PIPING: Remove and replace existing piping back to oil/water separator with 8-inch PVC to include cleanout outside of building. The pipe trench will be backfilled with Class II sand. E) PERMITS: Provide any necessary permits for closure, removal, and installation of UST. F) ELECTRICAL: Tank is gravity feed and no hardwired electrical is required. G) PAVEMENT REPLACEMENT Replace removed pavement in the driveway and parking area with 12-inch compacted base of 21AA, 3 inches of 3E3 base coat 2 inches of 5E3 wear coat Each layer must be compacted to 96% density. H) DEWATERING, WATER DISPOSAL AND ADDITIONAL STONE Dewatering may be needed during the project with manifests and documentation of proper disposal. This cost will be the responsibility of the contractor. Disposal of wastewater in tanks will be coordinated prior to construction by RCOC and waste hauler. Minimal water removal may be needed before UST removal. This will be the responsibility of the contractor. Water to ballast the tanks during installation can be supplied by RCOC wells. The contractor is responsible for disposal of the water, after construction. No city sewer is available at this location.
