MnDOT requests letters of interest for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Design experts to help augment the current understaffed ADA Unit. This project involves attending ADA design field walks, developing ADA details and standards, reviewing ADA Construction Plans and evaluating sidewalks for ADA compliance. Deliverables include providing both preliminary and final design ADA curb ramp and sidewalk recommendations, and red-lined plan sets showing recommendations improving the overall pedestrian network. The goal of this project is to provide assistance to Design staff to ensure ADA compliance is being met while providing usable, maintainable and constructible pedestrian facilities throughout MnDOT Right of Way (ROW).
