**As of April 24th, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The required Work for this Project will generally consist of removal of thirty-one (31) windows, as designated on floors one through four, to accommodate installation of flashing as specified and shown on the drawings, re-installation of existing windows, removal of wall covering in designated locations, repair and refinish of adjacent interior gypsum board wall surfaces, removal of existing window sills and replacement with new window sills, and all associated work. (*Note: Only the windows listed on the Bid Form shall be included in this bid as part of the Project/Work). Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after the opening of bids unless the bid is substantially lower than the other bids because of a clerical error as defined in Section 2.2 - 4330, of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended. Pursuant to Section 2.24330 (B)(1), the bidder shall give notice in writing and shall submit the original work papers with such notice to the City of its claim of right to withdraw the bid within two (2) business days after the opening of bids. All questions must be submitted before 2:00 p.m. on January 25, 2024. Questions received after 2:00 p.m. on January 25, 2024, may not be answered Bidders may only rely upon written addenda issued by the City Engineer and no other communication or interpretation, whether oral or written, shall have any effect or efficacy. The Contractor shall commence the Work to be performed under this Contract on such date as is established and fixed for such commencement by written notice to proceed given by the City Engineer to the Contractor, and the Contractor covenants and agrees to properly construct, perform, and substantially complete the Work within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the date of commencement fixed and established by such notice, and to achieve Final Acceptance within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days thereafter.
