Exterior Envelope Improvements at the Woodville Fire Substation - DCAMM Certs Required. Interior Renovation and Exterior Envelope Improvements at the Hopkinton-Woodville Fire Substation responsible for them and their work as if they had been originally named in this general bid, the total contract price being adjusted to conform thereto. The Town of Hopkinton invites sealed bids for construction work at the Woodville Fire Substation. The project is entitled Exterior Envelope Improvements at the Hopkinton-Woodville Fire Substation. The fire substation is located at 238 Wood Road, Hopkinton, MA. Work includes, but is not limited to, roofing, window and door replacement and masonry repairs. Questions must be submitted in writing to the Procurement and Grants Manager, Maureen McKeon: mmckeon@hopkintonma.gov, no later than 10 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2024. All questions, modifications, and clarifications will be issued in subsequent addendum issued by Thursday, February 1, 2024, if necessary The location, general characteristics, and principal details of the work are indicated in project documents included in this solicitation, in both Specifications, and Drawings. In general, the Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, temporary protection, tools, and appliances necessary for the proper completion of the work as required in the Specifications, in accordance with good construction practice, and as required by the materials manufacturer, as amended. The work under this Section generally includes the following: B. Provide all shoring and temporary protection as required to complete the work. C. Provide and maintain vacuum equipped grinder equipment as required to reduce dust accumulation at the site. Provide and maintain pre-measured mixing buckets upon approval of the appropriate mortar color mix design. D. Pre-clean existing brick and concrete masonry (CMU) components prior to performing any masonry renovations at the site. Pre-cleaning at stained areas shall include use of cleaning detergent, as indicated herein, to remove vegetative growth, atmospheric staining, efflorescence, and the like. E. Remove abandoned anchors as indicated in the Contract Drawings. Where abandoned anchors are installed in brick, remove, and replace the masonry unit. F. Remove and replace cracked and spalled brick and CMU as indicated on the Contract Drawings and as a Unit Price. G. Remove and rebuild designated areas of brick and concrete masonry. Install lateral ties to support the masonry. H. Cut and point deteriorated mortar joints as indicated on the Contract Drawings and as a Unit Price. I. Remove and rebuild brick masonry to expose and coat existing steel beams embedded in the exterior as indicated in the Contract Drawings.
