Contract Bonds
Section 3-1.05 does not apply.
If the total bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder must furnish a payment bond to secure the claim payments of laborers, workers, mechanics, or materialmen providing goods, labor, or services under
the Contract. This bond must be equal to at least 100 percent (100%) of the total bid (Pub. Cont. Code Section 7103).
A performance bond is not required. California Department of Transportation (Caltrans/Department) has issued the enclosed Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) for services described in the enclosed proposed contract.
Please read the entire contract package and all attachments carefully. If you desire to submit a quote, complete the Price Quote sheet and email it to the Analyst listed in the IFPQ. Your signature affixed to and dated on the quote proposal shall constitute a certification under penalty of perjury, unless exempted, that you have complied with the nondiscrimination program requirements of Government Code Section 12990 and Title 2, California Code of Regulations, Section 11102, and the nondiscrimination program requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 21, and 23 CFR Part 200.Award of this contract will be to the lowest responsible contractor whose quote complies with all requirements as described in this IFPQ.
If your bid is more than $388,000.00, it will be rejected per Public Contract Code Section 10105(b).Contractor must be a Certified Small Business at the time of the quote date. General work description: Culvert Replacement and Culvert Liner
The Department of Transportation (Department) will receive quotes for Construction On State Highway In Monterey County, 5.9 Miles North of Route 198/25 Separation, and In San Benito County, In Hollister, At Sunset Drive.

Contractor must have a Class A license and the following Class C License: C-34.
Contractor must be a certified Small Business under Section 2-1.04.
Department establishes no DVBE Contract goal but encourages bidders to obtain DVBE participation. Bids must be on a unit price basis. Complete the work within 25 working days.
