The COF is requesting a quotation for the supply and delivery of Traffic Signal Heads to the Engineering and Operations Department, Traffic Division. TRAFFIC SIGNAL SPECIFICATIONS 1. Signals shall be 300 mm in size. 2. Signals shall be BLACK in colour. 3. All signals shall use light emitting diodes (LEDs) including red, amber, green a bi-modal (combined amber/green) left arrow and a combined (Portland orange hand outline and lunar white pedestrian figure) round pedestrian signal. See approved LED list on Page 9 of this document. 4. Visors shall have four slotted mounting tabs for attachment to the housing doors using four screws. 5. Visors shall be the types that have no machining. 6. Acceptable manufacturer: Eagle or Econolite or McCain or Fortran or Chapel Hill Traffic Parts or approved equal meeting specifications and approved by City representatives prior to RFQ closing. 7. Submissions for request for equal approval must be submitted to the Purchasing Agent with reference to this RFQ number; at least seven (7) business days before closing date. 3-SECTION TRAFFIC SIGNAL HEAD All 3 section signal heads shall be polycarbonate. Each section shall use LEDs (red, amber and green). 4-SECTION TRAFFIC SIGNAL HEAD The housing for all 4 sections shall be polycarbonate. Each section shall use LEDs (red, amber, green and a bi-modal left arrow for the bottom section). 1-SECTION PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL HEAD The pedestrian signal head shall be polycarbonate with a square visor. The pedestrian signal shall be a combined LED round signal. 2-SECTION PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL HEAD The pedestrian signal head shall be polycarbonate with a square visor. The pedestrian signal shall be combined LED round signal in the top section. The bottom section shall be a 300 mm round countdown signal. 400 mm AND 600 mm VERTICAL ALUMINUM BRACKETS The vertical aluminum brackets shall be the same type as in the approved diagram. It shall be unpainted aluminum. Bid date description: Limit the submission email size to a maximum of 50 MB or send the bid in multiple pieces. Files that are larger than 50 MB will bounce back. The City shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever if an email submission is not received by the City prior to the designated time and date, due to malfunctioning equipment, the inability to complete the transmission of a document, or for any other reason.
