The City Park Revitalization Project proposes to revitalize the City of Corona's oldest park spanning 20.54 acres. Extensive redevelopment will include the following key elements: Construction of a new 70,000 SF single-story community center featuring lobby and administrative offices, gymnasium and game room, public restrooms, showers and locker rooms, banquet and conference room, classrooms and group fitness area, and outdoor patio and support spaces. A new aquatic center will be constructed featuring a 9,000 SF activity pool, 10-lane lap pool, 3,500 SF maintenance building, seating and shaded areas. The Project will also include a multi-use field featuring 150,000 SF of grass space, splashpad, iconic playground, basketball courts, skate park, botanic garden, and a one-mile walking loop. Additional amenities and infrastructure include picnic shelters, pre-engineered restroom building, landscaping and irrigation improvements, preservation of 12 trees and relocation of 65 historic trees, comprehensive park lighting, new parking lots equipped with EV chargers, and other miscellaneous improvements. 90% construction drawings and technical specifications are provided for review. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
