As of April 4, 2024, the project was not awarded as they were over the budget. They will rebid but no definite date. Wayne County is looking to award a Single Prime Contract to provide improvements to the existing three-story Burn Building tower, including installation of a propane prop system on the First and Second Floors, and installation of cor-ten steel flame protection at the two existing rooms with prop locations. Work also includes installation of the prop system control panel, and exhaust fans and louvers in new masonry openings in the existing CMU exterior walls.
