Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Richmond, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Town of Richmond is seeking a contractor to repair three Town, little league sized (60' basepaths) baseball fields that were damaged in flooding. The three baseball fields at Volunteers' Green, located at 286 Bridge St, lost a significant amount of clay in the flood in July 2023 which needs to be replaced. Two of the fields also had clay wash into grass section of the fields that needs to be removed and repaired with top soil. One field also had gullies cut into some of the clay area which has been filled with stone as a temporary fix. That stone needs to be removed and replaced with clay. There are three fields and they will be referred to as Field 1, Field 2, and Field 3; with Field 1 being closest to the entrance of the park, Field 2 being the middle field, and Field 3 being the field furthest from the park entrance. The Town of Richmond Selectboard reserves the right to reject any and all bids based on financial constraint or other factors that negatively impact the successful completion of the project Preference will be given to contractors who can start the work as soon as possible in the spring when weather and ground conditions cooperate.
