The Town of Richmond is seeking a qualified contractor to repair the sewer line hangers and insulation. The forced main sewer line that runs under the bridge was impacted by debris in the river. The pipe was not damaged, but the insulation was torn in places and some of the metal hangers that support the line were bent. Repair and insulation of the forced main sewer line suspended underneath the Bridge St bridge in Richmond VT: -Replace bent threaded rods (1" galvanized threaded rod) -Reattach new hangers to new rods (pipe hangers hoop style supports) -Ensure that the forced main sewer line is sloped at 1/4 inch per four feet from the south side to the north side -Remove tree/river debris from hangers and forced main sewer line -Re-insulate areas where insulation and aluminum/steel wrapping are torn -Provide a timeline for work completion before November This project requires operating safety procedures to include fall protection guidelines and training for a length of forced main sewer line: ~183 ft length with ~8 damaged hangers Other Information or Questions May Be Submitted by Calling Duncan Wardwell at (802) 336-2092 or Dwardwell@richmondvt.gov The period of performance of any contract resulting from this RFP is tentatively scheduled to begin on or about September 30, 2024 and to end November 22, 2024.
