Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Charleston, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Before submitting bids for this work, each bidder will be held to have examined the premises and satisfied themselves as to the conditions existing and under which they will be obliged to operate, or that will in any manner, affect the work of this contract. This work consists of the removal and replacement of the existing ramp & stairs serving the entrance at the Southeast corner of Stevenson Hall. Work will include but not be limited to the demolition of the existing PCC sidewalk, ramp, stairs and retaining walls along with construction of new PCC sidewalk, stairs, ramp, and retaining walls. New handrails will be required for the stairs and ramp. In addition, storm drainage improvements, landscaping, and other appurtenances will be required to be completed. Bid security in a dollar amount equal to five percent of the bid submitted must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bidder must have completed the qualification requirements in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Statutory Bonds for performance of the contract and for payment of mechanics and materials will be required in an amount equal to 100 percent of the accepted bid. Eastern Illinois University specifically reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding and to accept bids which, in its judgment, will be for its own best interest.
