The Rural Municipality of Emerald No. 277 is accepting tenders from qualified contractors for the hauling of gravel from the RM stockpile to designated roads. Approximately 10,000 cubic yards of gravel to be applied on roads throughout the municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to refuse to accept any or all tenders, and the lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any tender may be rejected which is incomplete, obscure, or irregular. The Municipality reserves the right to award or refuse tenders based on past working history with a contractor. The Municipality reserves the right to cancel the acceptance of any tender at any time 60 days prior to the execution of the contract by all parties without any liability against the Municipality by providing written notice. This Municipality is planning to apply approximately 10,000 cubic yards to their roads. The stockpile is located at SW 19-28-14 W2 (South of Wishart along Grid 639). The work must be completed prior to August 1, 2024 for the majority of contract (i.e. regular maintenance), unless an extension has been granted. If no extension was granted a penalty may be applied. Gravel application on pending construction sites, shall be applied throughout the season as road construction is completed. Due to varying weather conditions, short notice may be given for these requests. RM reserves the right to load and dispose gravel for local application.
