Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Herkimer, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.
The Thruway intends to solicit bids for a two-bay vehicle storage building at Herkimer Section Maintenance Yard ( M.P. 219.7) in the Syracuse Division of the New York State Thruway Authority. Contract term: Prompt Completion Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Location: 799 Mohawk Street, Herkimer, NY 13350 Provide a pre-engineered building system, including but not limited to, primary and secondary structural framing systems, roofing, snow retention system, siding, gutters and downspouts, interior ceiling system, overhead and pass doors, windows, and accessories. The vehicle storage building dimensions shall be a minimum 50 feet long by 32 feet wide and have an 18-foot wall height. The building shall have two (2) equally spaced vehicle storage bays sixteen (16) feet wide. Insulated overhead doors shall be 12 feet wide by 14 feet high. There will be two (2) insulated FRP 3070-man doors with tempered glass single lite. The interior of the vehicle storage shall have a flat ceiling consisting of a metal panel system attached to the bottom of the truss. A minimum of two 3-foot x 3 foot access points shall be provided in the ceiling system. Awarded vendor must include engineered stamped plans prior to construction. A 6" concrete floor system will be installed under a separate Contract at a future date.
