SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide equipment with experienced operators, labor, on-site supervision, certified flaggers, fuel, traffic control (including Portable Temporary Rumble Strips), transportation (mobilization), tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals as necessary for performing paving and flexible pavement planing on primary and secondary routes on an as-needed basis. Work shall include removing deteriorated pavement, disposal of unsuitable materials, cleaning the area, providing and applying tack coat as required, and repairing with the appropriate asphalt plant mixes. All work performed under this contract shall be under the direction of the Contract Administrator or designee. Any questions regarding this Invitation for Bids shall be addressed to Chelsa Taylor, chelsa.taylor@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of questions or other matters raised. Provide questions by close of business five (5) days prior to the bid due date. Question Deadline 02/03/2024.. **PRE-BID CONFERENCE NOTE Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, participation at this prebid conference will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at this prebid conference. No one will be admitted to join the conference after 10:05 AM EST.
