Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The construction of three (3) pickleball courts at the existing Hecksher Park located at 450 W. Venice Ave. The project includes 10 black vinyl coated chain link perimeter fencing with two 4 wide x 10 tall gates, black-colored acoustical noise barrier attached to the perimeter fencing, additional concrete sidewalks to access the courts, court lighting conduit, a water fountain with bottle filler, windsock, and as additive alternates, a shade structure and court lighting. The construction contract will be awarded on the basis of the Base Bid plus City Reserve. Alternates will be considered by the City as budget allows. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services and incidentals to complete all work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings. The Contractor shall perform the work complete, in place and ready for continuous service, and shall include repairs, testing, permits, clean-up, replacements and restoration required as a result of damages caused during this construction. All materials, equipment, skills, tools and labor which is reasonably and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the work in a substantial manner and in compliance with the requirements stated or implied by these Specifications or Drawings shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor without additional compensation, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not. The Contractor shall comply with all Municipal, County, State, Federal, and other codes which are applicable to the proposed construction work. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any requirements, irregularities or technical defects therein, when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City. The final day that the City will accept questions will be February 14, 2025 by 1:00 p.m.
