Renovation of a water / sewer project in Venice, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project is included in the Sarasota County's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 5, 2024, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2025. A detailed scope has not yet been released. The project consists of the design and construction activities for the replacement and upsizing of the facility's high-service pumps to increase the finished water production capacity. This project includes the following components: Replacement of four existing 4,000 GPM high service pumps with larger capacity pumps and associated 250 HP motors, 200 HP VFD's, eight 18 butterfly valves, four 18 check valves, 600 AMP master control panel and two 1000 AMP switchboards and other associated equipment *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
