Renovation of a water / sewer project in Venice, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project is included in the Sarasota County fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of December 13, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2025. A detailed scope has not yet been released. The project scope includes the design and construction for the replacement of two of the existing switchgears that have passed their useful life with new 480V/32000 amp/3 PH switchgears, utility switchboard, as well as the replacement of two 10,000-gallon fuel tanks with new tanks that meet future regulations. The scope also includes modifying the existing PLCs to accommodate generator duty-duty configuration, and load testing the two existing generators to confirm their condition *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
