The City of Venice invites sealed bids from qualified bidders to provide the following goods or services, which is described in detail in the Specifications. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The construction of three (3) pickleball courts at the existing Hecksher Park located at 450 W. Venice Ave. The project includes 10 black vinyl coated chain link perimeter fencing with two 4 wide x 10 tall gates, black-colored acoustical noise barrier attached to the perimeter fencing, additional concrete sidewalks to access the courts, court lighting, a shade structure. water fountain with bottle filler, and windsock. Bids will be considered only from bidders who have the applicable license, if a license is required by the City of Venice and/or State of Florida, for the type of work specified. A copy of the applicable license must be submitted with bid if a license is required. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any requirements, irregularities or technical defects therein, when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City The project also includes the abandonment of an existing sanitary service and the installation of a new sanitary service. The City will pay all building and City permit fees. The City anticipates direct purchasing the court lighting. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services and incidentals to complete all work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings. The Contractor shall perform the work complete, in place and ready for continuous service, and shall include repairs, testing, permits, clean-up, replacements and restoration required as a result of damages caused during this construction. All materials, equipment, skills, tools and labor which is reasonably and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the work in a substantial manner and in compliance with the requirements stated or implied by these Specifications or Drawings shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor without additional compensation, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not. The Contractor shall comply with all Municipal, County, State, Federal, and other codes which are applicable to the proposed construction work. No bid will be received after the specified time for acceptance and no bidder may withdraw his bid within a period of ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The city will not respond to comments, questions or concerns addressed to any person other than Mrs. Case. If the City determines that a particular comment, question or concern necessitates a global response to all Proposers, the City will issue a clarifying memorandum or addendum.
