Project is no longer needed.** In general, the work is comprised of public works construction including modifying existing striping to accommodate a second left turn pocket on Melinda Road at Santa Margarita Parkway, traffic signal modifications, including a single new traffic signal pole and associated signal head(s), southbound detector loop modifications, and signage, and other miscellaneous improvements as shown on the plans and as required to complete the work. The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City. Within three (3) business days of bid opening, contractor must submit a revised bid bond with numerical dollar values, both in words and with digits of bid amount. Within five (5) working days after the date of the Notice of Apparent Low Bidder, the successful bidder will be required to submit required Contract Agreement and Insurance. Within ten (10) working days after the date of the Notice of Award, the successful bidder will be required to submit Bonds (Faithful Performance and Material and Labor), Construction Schedule, Traffic Control Plan and Water Pollution Control Plan. The wage rates applicable to this Project are the State of California Department of Industrial Relations prevailing rates of per diem wages.
