Escambia County, Florida (County) seeks to establish one or more contracts for custodial services in certain locations. The County is seeking qualified entities (Proposer or Contractor) to provide custodial services for 85 County buildings totaling almost 815,000 square feet located throughout the County. The Proposer must have the capability to provide all labor, supplies and equipment to clean and maintain the interior areas and exterior entrances for buildings as specified in the contract(s). The Proposer will provide sufficient personnel to complete all tasks as scheduled. Exhibit A provides a detailed description of the scope of services required under this RFP. Question Submission Deadline:January 10, 2024, 4:00pm The County is seeking to award contracts based on experience and ability to provide required services dependent upon square feet and logistics. The County is proposing four (4) Zones which include different square feet to clean as depicted in Exhibit B. Zones 1 and 2 will be awarded to Proposers which have demonstrated experience in handling the larger square feet, cleaning frequency, and logistics required for these locations. The smaller packages, Zones 3 and 4, are designed to allow smaller companies with less experience to also propose. The County has offered this multi-sized zone approach to provide smaller businesses a chance to participate in this RFP. All entities are permitted to submit a proposal for any or all zones. All Proposers must, regardless of how many packages proposed on, submit a complete proposal as outlined in the "Proposal Submission" section of the RFP. The Contract resulting from this solicitation will commence on May 1, 2024, and expire April 30, 2027. The Contract may be renewed for two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods, upon mutual agreement of both parties. If any such renewal results in changes in the terms or conditions, such changes will be reduced to writing as an addendum to the Contract and must be approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board). The County reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of buildings and square footage under the same terms, specifications, and conditions of this Contract. The rates for the new areas will be quoted by the Contractor for County approval and will be based on the cost per square foot as bid for the same or similar building. This includes when there is an increase or decrease in the number of cleaning days per week.
