The City of Auburn, New York, ("the City") is seeking a qualified professional to conduct the
required dam safety analysis as per NYSDEC regulations. These include:
o NYSDEC Engineering Assessment for Mill Street, North Division Street and State dams as
per section 673.13.
Pricing to complete the required study shall be included in the proposal. Items to be addressed in
the submitted proposal shall include but are not limited to:
o Preparation and production costs associated providing necessary submittals to the City of
Auburn and NYSDEC;
o any necessary revisions as per City and NYSDEC review;
o costs associated with any necessary inspection equipment rental;
o travel expenses;
o all site meetings and/or conference calls regarding the project;
o all sub-consultant fees, and
o a NYSDEC approved analysis.
The City requests that the Consultant coordinate with the City and NYSDEC to ensure the
structural inspection date will work for all parties. The City of Auburn will allow access to all available previously completed Dam Engineering Assessment Reports. The most recent, "Mill Street Dam Sixth Independent Consultant's Safety Inspection Report and STID", is also available upon request. Please note, this RFP may be also be used to update the City's Emergency Action Plan to include the selected engineering firm and independent consultant as a technical resource related to dam safety. In addition, the City reserves the right to use the selected firm to complete future dam safety analysis at Mill Street Dam, North Division Street Dam, and State Dam.
