The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials required to install approximately 2,250 LF of new 8-inch DIP water main, 1,610 LF of new 16-inch DIP water main and 1,800 LF of new 24-inch DIP water main and 8-inch, 16-inch and 24-inch appurtenances as shown in the contract drawings and specified herein. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 270 consecutive calendar days, and the time allowed for final completion and readiness for final payment is 300 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement. Each bid must be submitted on the bid form in the contract documents, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No interlineations, additions, or deletions shall be made in the bid form by the Bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Each Bid must also be accompanied by a notarized non-collusion affidavit for the Bidder. Out-of-state corporations and other entities must submit evidence of authority to conduct business in Georgia as an out-of-state entity. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Bids, to waive informalities and re-advertise. All questions must be submitted to Engineering Strategies, Inc., on or before February 12, 2024, by 11:00 AM.
