In general, Work consists of a new regional bus passenger facility adjacent to a new two-story, 20,000 sf steel-frame office building housing a passenger waiting facility, CARTA offices, public meetings rooms, and offices and adult education and testing facilities for SCWorks. The existing site is level and cleared. The building occupies the northern half of the site, fronting on Rivers Avenue; the bus loop - with ten sheltered platforms and a layover space - fills the southern half.
