Site work and new construction of an educational facility in The Plains, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a 151,000-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

As of August 12, 2025, construction has commenced and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027. All trades are let and set for this project. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Build one (1) New High School with approximately 99,651 co-funded SF and 38,408 Locally Funded (LFI) SF, to house 598 students (Total anticipated 138,059 SF.) The building will be located/constructed at the existing HS site, 1 Highschool Rd., The Plains, Ohio. The existing High School building will remain operational during construction and is located within close proximity to where the New HS building will be constructed. Total New HS Building Budget Cost: $53,315,298.00 (($38,042,660.00 Co-funded + $15,272,638.00 Locally Funded Initiative (LFI)). A Specific Allowance budget of $120,578 is included for an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System and is included in the overall building budget above. A separate early site package GMP is anticipated and should be included as part of the AE Basic Services. It is anticipated to do an Early Site Package GMP when the 100% Design Development Documents are completed, or sooner. Anticipated to start the Early Site work construction May 2025. The Architect/Engineer ("A/E") will prepare the POR as part of their AE Basic Services. This project will be designed to LEED V4 requirements and will require Silver Certification. The project delivery method for this new High School building will be Construction Manager at Risk. Project Scope also includes work to abate and demolish the existing High School building, via Construction Manager at Risk Delivery Method, after occupancy is achieved and after the District has relocated their operations into the New High School building facility. Finalization of the remaining new sitework scope will be required once abate/demo scope related to the existing facility is completed. Abate/demo budget cost is $1,231,739.
