The MDOT MTA is reaching out to qualified and experienced firms to participate in our ongoing initiative to enhance the safety and reliability of our MTA (Maryland Transit Administration) standpipe system. As a critical component of our emergency response infrastructure, these standpipes play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness of firefighting efforts within our facilities. Considering this, we are seeking vendors who specialize in the comprehensive testing, maintenance, and repair of MTA standpipe systems. Your expertise and commitment to excellence in these areas are vital to our mission of maintaining a robust and resilient emergency response infrastructure. Our mission is to ensure that the fire standpipe system included is maintained in accordance with NFPA code and in good working condition, reducing the need for future major renovations. All work shall be coordinated and approved by the MDOT MTA before any work is performed. The Metro operates on a 24/7 basis and the MDOT MTA reserves the right to restrict access to the site during peak operation times or during incidents affecting its operations Standpipe maintenance systems that include opportunities for participation by Minority Business Enterprises/Women Business Enterprises (in the case of Baltimore City), or similarly certified businesses (in the case of other jurisdictions in Maryland).
