The purpose of this project scope is for the successful Proponent to design, supply and install optimally sized solar PV systems based on available roof area and electricity consumption profiles of each property as per these RFP requirements. The clean electricity produced from the solar PV systems will be consumed by the host buildings and any surplus of electricity will be supplied to the energy grid, under the Net Metering arrangement with Toronto Hydro. In addition, TCHC has retained a roofing consultant and performed condition assessment of the roofs at the Project Locations. TCHC has performed repairs, as were required, prior to solar panel installations on the roofs. The Proponent is required to coordinate with the same TCHC pre-approved roofing consultant to review the roofing conditions after the solar panel installations. Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) is seeking a Vendor for the provision of Design Build - Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Rooftop System at 34 Oxford Street and 72 Clinton Street. Proponents may bid on one or both locations to be considered for award. TCHC will be evaluating and awarding each location separately to the lowest total priced Proposal. A Proponent can be awarded both locations if the price submitted for each location is the lowest priced on both. This RFP Category of Work is categorized as Construction.
