Renovation of a mixed-use development in Murrieta, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and municipal facility.

Respondent understands that the scope of work includes purchasing, providing, and installing all components needed to install a new, fully functioning, automatic backup emergency generator at the City of Murrieta City Hall and Fire Station 1 facilities. This includes all electrical and mechanic work needed to properly install the generator according to all state and local codes along with training and warranty agreement to the satisfaction of the City's Project Manager. Replace and Install emergency generators at City of Murrieta City Hall and Fire Station 1 all as shown on the Plans, Standard Plans, and specified in the Special Provisions. Bidder shall obtain all necessary building permits required to complete this project. All material and equipment shall be delivered by the Contractor to the site, or to the City yard if removal and salvage are specified on the plans. Contractor shall coordinate with utility companies and allow for construction time for utility relocation by utility agency, at no additional cost to the City. A fully functional unit upon completion of work shall be provided. If through research the proposer determines that the specifications can be modified and still meet or exceed the required objective, the proposer is free to do so if fully described and justified in the submittal. Provide alternate bid to use existing 594-gal fuel tank instead of sub-base fuel tank. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $ 450,000. Bid Bond: 10.00% Payment Bond: 100.00% Performance Bond: 100.00% The contractor shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3, of the Business and Professions Code. The classification of Contractor's license required in the performance of this Contract is: C-10. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California (DIR) prior to submitting a bid on any public works project, pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Bids from contractors or subcontractors that are not currently registered as required will be deemed nonresponsive. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to delete portions of the work, or to waive any defect or informality in any bid received. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, City has obtained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in this locality for each craft, classification, or type of workman needed to execute the contract from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. These rates are on file with the City Clerk. Copies may be obtained at cost at the City Clerk's Office, City of Murrieta. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contract will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City of Murrieta to ensure performance under the Contract.
