The Library will be selecting a vendor for an initial term of five (5) years, with the Library having an option to renew the contract for an additional three (3) year period. Pricing is to remain firm for first twelve (12) months, and proponents are asked to provide pricing increases for all five (5) years. There is no guarantee of work for the successful proponent, and the library may select more than one successful vendor. Calgary Public Library, with 650,000+ members and 21 locations, has been inspiring the life stories of Calgarians for more than 100 years. It is currently one of the largest Library system in Canada, with Calgarians borrowing more than 14.3 million physical and digital items and with 2.3 million in-person visits in 2021. The awe-inspiring 240,000 sq. ft. New Central Library - the newest gathering place for our city - opened in January 2019.
