This solicitation is being conducted by the NCO 23 Contracting Office for the IOWA CITY CAMPUS Health Care System (HCS). The requirement is for KITCHEN CART WASH FLOOR REPAIR. Please email all questions and responses to both points of contact listed below: Shavokie Gibson Shavokie.gibson@va.gov This purpose of this project is to replace a failing integral cove base in the kitchen cart wash area in Building 1 on the Iowa City VAMC campus with a floor and wall coating system. Product used shall be SikaFloor or Equal. Approximately 20 linear feet of cove base, 45 square feet of floor surface and 60 square feet of wall tile will need to be prepped and recoated. The existing 6" cove base will be removed and the floor and 3' up the tiled wall will need to be prepared. Grout lines shall be filled in the wall tile. A cove radius shall be installed. The surfaces shall receive per the manufacturer's instructions: 1.) SikaFloor Bonding Primer; 2.) SikaFloor 264 Pigmented Epoxy Broadcast Coat; 3.) Broadcast Flakes; 4.) SikaFloor 217 Clear Grout Coat; 5.) SikaFloor 315 Urethane with aluminum oxide for slip resistance. The contractor will be required to clean up the site, such as removing debris and dust created during the project. The end product must have uniformly coated surfaces with no significant imperfections or damaged areas.
