Site work and paving for a road / highway in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Install a pedestrian and bike underpass under CTH MM approximately 1/4 mile north of Lacy Rd. Project will also include approximately 500 feet of bike path, with 250 feet on the east side of CTH MM to connect to existing bike path and 250 feet on the west side to allow connection with the future Nine Springs Hill Development. Approximately half of the project will be funded by a Transportation Alternatives Program grant, which funds safe routes to schools. The remaining amount would be funded with a transfer from CIP #1045 "Capital Grant Match Funding". As of January 23, 2024, this project is included in the City of Fitchburg's FY 2024 2033 CIP and funding is allotted for construction in 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
