Site work and paving for a road / highway in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of August 19, 2025, it is expected that design work will take place in 2028 and construction will begin in 2029. Installation of a new high capacity well to serve the developing City. Cost includes land acquisition and constructing a new well and pump house. Location will be consistent with water system analysis planning and comprehensive plan. 2019-2028 CIP Update: Delay installation 3 years (note construction of ~$1.8 million would occur in 2029). The 2018 approved water system master plan recommends installing by 2030. 2022-2031 CIP Council Amendment: Added $50,000 to add solar panels to the project. 2024-2033 CIP Update: Increased 2028 from $180,000 to $270,000 and 2029 from $1,850,000 to $2,700,000 due to rising construction costs As of January 23, 2024, this project is included in the City of Fitchburg's FY 2024 2033 CIP and funding is allotted for construction in 2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
