The City of Lake Forest is located in southern Orange County, California, in the area commonly referred to as the Saddleback Valley, with a population of approximately 85,000. It is the County's thirty-first city and the second largest city within the Saddleback Valley, encompassing 16.6 square miles. The City of Lake Forest's fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. The City was incorporated in 1991, operates under the Council/Manager form of government and is considered a contract city. The five members of the City Council are elected by district. They serve staggered four-year terms, with the Mayor being selected annually from among the Council Members. Project Description The City is seeking Custodial Services for the Lake Forest Sports Park and Recreation Center. The janitorial services at the Lake Forest Sports Park Community Center includes five office spaces along with two outdoor Clubhouses with small storage concession areas. The basic daily hours of maintenance service for the Sport's Park Community Center and Sport's Park Clubhouses shall be 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., which shall be considered normal work hours as may pertain to any other provision of the Contract. No work shall begin prior to 10:00 p.m. and all work shall be completed by 6:00 a.m. The basic working days of maintenance service shall be Sunday through Saturday. This time must be adhered to as oftentimes, the public is in the building until closing time. The Contractor shall be responsible for unlocking and re-locking the Park Clubhouses when service is not completed prior to the specified time for locking the facility. Anticipated Final Selection:May 7, 2024 The City will have the option, at its sole discretion, to extend the agreement for up to two (2) additional one year terms. If the parties are unable to reach an agreement, the City, at its sole discretion, will not move forward with the renewal option and shall re-procure the work. All written questions will be answered in writing and conveyed to all interested firms.
